Sometimes Simple is Better.

This is by far the most successful in the series to date. The embroidery is stabilized with freezer paper, which no doubt will make a mess in my washing machine, should I ever need to wash it. Note the twisted strip of suedecloth at the top of the diamond—a simple detail, but I think really helps to add some snap.

denim, felt, suedecloth, satin stitches. You can also see, just on the upper left edge, a fancy stitch in which I distorted the bobbin tension to get both upper and lower threads (one light and one dark) to show.
