Aside from a stocking in which a twisted diamond pattern appears and subtly disappears, this is the only other successful ombre braid I've made. The former is on a stocking which I will post in due time.
This is the latter, and though it's not perfectly successful—note that really only one of the light mint/turquoise sections all goes to one value—it's the best I've done since my initial success. I'm very happy with this effort, and the colors of everything except the fuscia in the tassel are actually pretty close to reality.
braid of keiriko no himo, 16 strands, ‘Sugar'n’Spice’ brand ombre dyed cotton yarn. Approximately 1/2” (12mm) thick by about 1 yd (1 m) long. Tassels include wool or wool blends.
