Restrung this mouse with shorter tails, more in proportion to the focal: now has a total length of 6". Also, the cage holding the rose quartz totally fell apart, so I replaced that with the pink freshwater pearl. The beads in the shorter tails are the same, though slightly rearranged (kinda like I imagine chromosomes exchanging bits of DNA:) This is actually the third time it's been restrung, but evidently I only bothered to photograph it in its second iteration.
Revamped mouse. Overall length: about 6". Focal: about 1/2 inch; bullseye, pink with lavender dots. The rest of the beads are an assortment of effetre and, (probably) some german glasses. Restrung sometime mid-Oct., photographed 24oct19 with zuiko 50mm prime macro lens on olympus E620. Cropped only. Click for full size.
Since my documentation records an original overall length of 9", this means (providing I measured correctly...) that I shortened it by nearly a third. And I just love it when the photography goes so easily. Really, I stuck it on inclined black plexi, turned on the flash & camera, took the shot at 3 exposures, boom, done. Lovely.
