Frances' 40 beads
Definitely feeling challenged
Frances didn't have quite as much difficulty with crawling as I did, but it was still a factor for her. She also didn't realize all dots were supposed to be melted in, so she made some extra beads.
The grey also shifts from opaque to transparent, an effect that is particularly obvious in the 5th bead from the left (in the foreground). I first noticed this quality of CiM glasses when we did the sample strands in 2011—the yellow solid spacers would self-case in transparent if heated sufficiently, which I thought was pretty darned cool!
However, I think this challenge is part of the reason she's suddenly become so fascinated by boro:)
