I continue my Efforts with Weeds,
Or, the flowers that took over the Garden

Needless to say I pulled a lot of these out of the rose bed this spring, but they were still a grand experiment; and I'm not sorry I tried it. Michigan, it turns out, has over 40 species of this common flower often unfairly castigated for hayfever.

I'm sure I had not less than two different kinds, as they grew to different heights and bloomed at different times. You can also see that I rather desparately need to divide the black eyed susans in the background. Coneflowers too, for that matter....
