I love both Joy Munshower and Maria Richmond's work, and here's two examples of their talents beautifully combined:
Taken with the lumix, color-corrected, cropped, sharpened. Bead by Joy Munshower of assorted 104 soft/soda-lime glass; copper wirework by Maria Richmond. 2018.
Here we have one of Munshower's gorgeous horses, its whipping mane elegantly echoed in the curling wires:
Here I tried hanging the piece to get truer color. I was having a really tough time getting good images.
Munshower is known primarily for her equids, but she does great giraffes too; note how Richmond implies the animal's horns with the curliques spouting from the top hole of the bead, a nice bit of whimsy:
Aaaaaand we're back to major color correction, cropping & sharpening. Bead by Joy Munshower of 104 COE soft/soda-lime glass; copper wirework by Maria Richmond. 2018.
I think it's helpful to see the back, and you'll note that Richmond's work is still wonderfully tidy on the invisible side.
