While visiting Fran in NYC, I visited a botanical garden that was just finishing up with an orchid show.

I love the traditional purple netted pattern on Phalaenopsis, but this splotchier one also appealed. And I love the patterns of light showing through the palm leaves in the distance, a function of the (almost) shirt-pocket lumix's bokeh.
