By far everyone's favourite: the first bead of the series I made, and the one that just worked. (It does happen sometimes;) I'm also very fond of doing white to pink shading (as seen in the tails), so this mouse was not only visually successful but satisfying to string as well—probably partly because “pink” in western society includes a fairly wide span of blue and yellow/orange based tints of red, allowing for a bit more wandering, and thus interest, in the colorway.
pink mini mouse featuring a raked lotus filigrana and CiM half and half bead, measuring approx 11x16 (including dots); part of a mouse measuring 5-3/4"/14.5cm overall; glass, bicycle inner tube lock washer, stainless steel (308), basemetal; strung and photographed 08jul22. Sony ILCE-7C with sony 90mm macro lens, godox manual flash; f/3.5, 1/160s, ISO 50
Also, unlike the first mouse in the series, the striping shows up well, partly because I faced the filigrana half of the bead upwards, towards the top of the piece. (In fact, I thought the striping so clean I didn't bother lotus raking the bead, the better to show off the even distribution of the coils.)
