Don Miller's Demos
One of Many Gifts

Don Miller was my second flameworking teacher. The major benefit of his course, which had the same basic material as Peggy's, was that it was slo-o-o-o-o-wed down enough for me to absorb it more readily: I think, and learn, slowly, and it can take many many many repetitions before I get it.

Mr Miller teaches at UM-Dearborn, and often chooses the school colors, blue and yellow, for his demos. These “demo” beads, made by a flameworker whose real love and speciality is marbles, are of better quality than many beadmakers’ best efforts.

Three beads, each about 14x25mm. Copyright May 2002 Don Miller.

Don is known locally for his incredible generosity to the beadmaking community, and these beads he handed to me merely because I admired them are merely one example.
