Autumn Leaves
Golden and blackened
These heart shaped leaves encompass the two opposing facets of the season for me: glorious golden light—symbolic of life; yet they also presage the death—or dormancy, at least—of winter. So fall is yes, a bit melancholy for me.
Well, I love roses too. Never claimed to be particularly original; I find the dying and curling and drying up, amongst the fall color, particularly fascinating. This picture captures the feeling well.
