I got one of those cute little ball-jointed bendable tripods for the holidays, and decided, when temps plunged to the single digits, to photograph some of the beautiful ice crystal patterns on our windows.
The photography is perhaps no great shakes, but on the other hand, I can recycle the images without infringing on someone's copyright. That's always useful, hmm?
This one especially reminds me of the star-patterned textured privacy glass in the 1918 house I grew up in...
And these are certainly much better than my very first attempts, taken years ago in the old house: I didn't know enough to compensate for the high key, and my images came out brown. I was so disappointed!
