Purple and Green
...rides again!
One of the things that irritates me about disk-made kongoh braids is that they're not as even and smooth as the marudai made ones. However, I noticed that some made (by other people) who selected thicker fibers had smoother, more attractive efforts. I decided to try using cotton thread in the #3 to #5 range:
The end result was smoother, but still not perfect. I decided to attach the braid to my olive green backpack, as it's sometimes handy to have an extra tie-down cord; and for my next effort, returned to the finer fibers I customarily use.
