Orangey Kumi
In which I complete another braid upon the disk
This is another 12 strand braid using some #20 weight hand-painted crochet cotton. Plastic sewing machine bobbins and a large glass bead served as the tama and counterweight, respectively.
It was braided on one of those foam disks, and so is much more uneven in quality than a marudai loomed braid would be. The pattern is kongo, which is a very natural and easy one to do on a disk. Nevertheless I think the subtle color shifts are nice, if not spectacular.
