Another little piece in the same series as this seated calico cat, and like it playing with a palimpsest of watercolour washes, pale grey floral patterns and darker blue and black floral patterns.
Unnnnh, roughly 3" square? graphite, watercolour, silver and black microns on scrap paper; sony A7c, sony 90mm macro; f/2.8 ev +0.7, 1/100s, ISO 500, WB: shade; rotate, transform & crop tools applied in gimp
The dog also has layers of washes: because the paper isn't really designed for watercolours such glazing is really the only way to get much depth of colour. —I chose this model because my family had a dog named Max when I was a child who looked much like this.
