2023 Inktober's End
well, I'm ready to move on to something else...

The following three doodles are the last of my Inktober 2023 efforts:

scrap, microns (& coffee stains, whoops) 4.5 x 5.5 inches; 26 & 27 oct 2023. Sony A7c, 90mm macro.[1]

I was watching a youtuber with a cool white streak in dark hair, about some sort of crochet controversy? I do seem to recall having (minor) inking goals while making this piece, but no memory of what they are.[2]

image is 4-1/4 x 3-1/4 inches on scrap envelope, in microns. 28? oct 23. Photographed as above

I kinda like the dotty, curly streaks in lower center of this shamrock and henna flower drawing, but those 4 petalled flowers utterly fail to evoke dogwood bracts. Continuing to attempt to improve my curl-swirls, with mixed success. Again, a very low stakes effort.

They will go into the pile of doodles to be incorporated into mixed media work—they're great for that.

micron on scrap paper, 3-1/2 inches square. 28oct2023. Photographed as above.

This piece was inspired by Frances Ross’ wonderful architectural drawings; I love them, but my efforts to evoke them are...sad. Still it was kinda fun to do, and I expect if I did a hundred of these, eventually I'd have something worthwhile at the end. I don't have that kind of discipline though;)

[1]I've screwed up the panes on geeqie, so I don't have easy access to the exif data, not that it really matters—I haphazardly photographed these on a table near a window on a cloudy day.

[2]Also, the photography was bad, and since these were small insignificant drawings anyway, I scaled them all to 1000 pixels wide.
