Red, white & blue abstract lentils
celebrating the election season?

Photographic evidence confirms that I made these beads on the afternoon of 06Apr2024; but then we went to see the eclipse, and they kinda got lost in the shuffle, left behind in the pin polisher during the whole of my stay in Japan.

I discovered them when I returned. Whoops.

Abstract lentils for Japan: artist made star murrina & blue-white shards, thompson enamels, frit; made April 2024, photographed 29may24; sony ILCE-7C, sony 90mm macro, f/4.5, ev-0.7, 1/60s, ISO 50, godox flash; cropped and lightened in gimp

These beads have the distinction of belonging to the same series as the ones that did go to Japan, except being larger and fancier in that they were lentil pressed. The larger lentils were made with a 1.25" press, the smaller with a 1" press.

Well, f2tY and significant other are visiting in September, these and any others can go back to Japan with them:)

For those of you into footnotes and the like, here is the documentation I mentioned at the beginning:

pixel pro 6, natural light. The 3059.2 number refers to the number of hours on the concentrator at the end of the session, which, if I subtract the prior session's numbers, allows me to calculate how long it ran, and thus, roughly—very roughly, sometimes, if I take extended breaks—how long I worked.

Photography really makes matching beads exactly to studio notebook entries easy.
