This strand was assembled, if not formally strung, the same time as the purple-blue strand and is the same size.
Like the other strand, it proved difficult to photograph well. Last time I upped the diffusion by going to 1/4” thick (as opposed to my typical 1/16” or less) translucent plastic to soften the direct light; this time I went even darker, using a piece of white foamcard, which was thus completely opaque. This had a couple of interesting effects. One is that it's pretty obvious that the camera shifts down to lower effective ISOs when the light gets low enough, hence the noise (the speckliness) of the background. Another is that the ambient light in the basement becomes a noticeable component, which I assume (possibly incorrectly) is the reason for those weird yellow highlights bouncing off the back, that is, facing away from the light source, side of the foam card.
Plus, the blue looks a little too intense, though cobalt blue is surely a beautiful glass. So much for that experiment.
