I scavenged this white wolf and polar bear metallic blue paper from Page for a gift from her to someone else, then added the extra decorations. The paper was pretty but not especially durable, so I just hot-glued everything down, a practise I've been doing less if I want to keep from damaging the ribbons or paper as much.
giftwrap, dec 2025; decorated with beads, curling ribbon, bell, silver spikes, vintage silver ornament, snowflake; photographed with sony A7c, sony 90mm macro, godox 660 flash; some editing in gimp (see text)
The miniature silvered glass ornament (on top of the bell) is also from Page:) The “dirt” on the black plexi is sparklies that have come off the gift decoration, so I just left them.
I don't usually take the time to do much image editing excepting perhaps lightening, or more occasionally, colour adjusting, the image, but the interior of the bell was really dark, and it was relatively easy to create an oval selection, rotate it & lighten it specifically.
(The bell made the package surprisingly difficult to position in an attractive way; this image is one of five before I finally gave up getting this thing to look good while showing off some of the other components such as the snowflake. Oh well, I was just happy to be able to photograph gift decorating in the studio again:)
