So I really kind of lucked out here, because the person who unwrapped this gift the first time did such a stellar job of preserving the wrapping (this is not at all a requirement, but if the recipient enjoys[1] carefully removing it, that's fine; so is ripping it to pieces!) that I was able to put something back in the box and slip the ribbons back on it.
Gift decoration, old-gold foil on burgundy paper; mylar and sateen bows; wire edged, curling, synthetic and ribbon; bead strand; wrapped, photographed 25dec23, sony ILCE-7C, sony 90mm macro, f/2.8, ev -0.3 ,1/320s, ISO 200, WB: cloudy; rotated and darkened slightly, cropped in gimp
Usually I have to at least cut down the paper to fit a different sized box, or rework the ribbons a bit; not this time—aside from subbing the ornament (which I couldn't find, possibly because the recipient took it home, which, yes, they were absolutely supposed to do!) for the pink mylar bow and some co-ordinating peach beads, it's the same basic wrapping job.

And now I'm reusing this a third time, by posting a record on the site. Recycling for the win:)
