This beautiful paper was one of the perks I received for helping my friends tidy up their attic: they decided to prune their holiday paper collection. Every year I seem to get lazier with the winter holidays, so I did very little to acquire gifts for friends and families, but I was willing to wrap and decorate other people's gifts.

This is a series of 4 gifts I wrapped on the solstice, and my personal favourite, just because the paper is so gorgeous.

I liked it so much I'm featuring three views of it. The brown and copper snowflake wire-edged ribbon was also a gift, from a local beadmaking friend, who I think purchased it for her shop and ended up not needing it. It's quite an unusual colour scheme for the season—copper, brown and gold says Autumn to me, but the snowflakes clearly indicate it's for winter—let alone christmas!

But because the wrapping paper features an ‘old gold’ or bronzy metallic hue, the copper and brown co-ordinate, and allowed me to pull in the peach as well. Two shades of dark wine-red curling ribbon round out the scheme.
