July Garden
Or, yay for adequate rain and cool temps

Now that the black eyed susans have started to open up, what with the daylilies and echinacea (the backbone of my old garden, and still an important component of this one) going full-bore, I'd say it's pretty much at its peak.

I've deliberately started putting flowers with similar colors close to each other.

This is my first year for liatris (blazing star). I'm so pleased.

This was the first year I was really happy with the spring garden, though I need to put in more daffs and other early bulbs—many of them don't seem to thrive as much as they did at the old house. On the other hand, the iris did very well.
