I took some of the prettier beads I've made (reasonably) recently and distributed them around the squid, which of course I knew would be busy, but I was feeling all victorian and cluttered—I wanted the sense of a dusty old shop, with tons of cool little oddities and one-of-a-kinds poked into odd little corners, and sunlight slanting through dust—I didn't actually antique as a child: these feelings actually hearken back to the used bookstores I frequented (where dust is no doubt a lot more forgivable.)
A mess of beads arranged around the squid. photo 22oct08. Most of the beads have been made within the last 6 months. And yes, the smallest of those mini-hollows are just about 6mm or so:)
But since it represents a great deal of work, it will have to make do, at least until I find somebody willing to trade beads for graphic design expertise.
