finishing off an old sketchbook, part IV

This is just me fooling around, probably while watching something on the internet. It's another in that series of cardinal sketchbook drawings to finish it off. I do like the way this paper handles (light) wet media.

ink and wash, with additional microns over graphite, sketchbook page with flecked paper roughly 5-3/8 x 6-7/8 inches; 16mar21; photographed 17mar21

The curved eyebrows and tightly pulled-back hair were vaguely inspired by a real person, but I chose to give the subject an Asian cast to her eyes because I hate all the anti-Asian sentiment being whipped up over COVID. Looking at it now, it reminds me a bit of the Michelle Yeoh character in Crazy Rich Asians, though more in attitude than actual features.
