This definitely falls into the sketchbook category of no particular significance (aka doodles), but I kind of like the crosshatched shading on the large plane tree (maple like) leaf on the left, as well as the more specifically background doodle-esque scribbles that go up the right margin of the page.

I actually the used the diary for its intended purpose, writing down an address, around which I drew the doodle (& which I then had to blur for privacy purposes.)
