Orange and green still life
ever more abstraction...

To give you an idea of how abstracted this is, I had to think for awhile before I could remember that the vessel on the right is a shiny green coffee cup—not at all obvious from the way the paint is laid down, and the one on the left is a clear transparent bottle that I keep water for watercolours. Obviously I had been using a lot of green at that point. I think.

I was therefore far more interested in playing with textures, both those inspired by the still life and by prior doodles. This piece is quite a classic secondary triad, seeing as it consists of green, orange and violet (with bits of brown, which is basically dulled down orange, violet or even green.)

I quite like the piece, as well as the one that came immediately after it but after that I started to have difficulties.
