Bad zipper installations
let me count the ways...

There are many ways to install zippers badly. This page documents some of them.

Example 1:

Cutting the zipper too short so it doesn't go cleanly to the end of the opening.

One of the first zippers I installed was a bag to store all my zippers in.

I was actually fairly happy with this, but despite my research and careful reading, I discovered cutting the ends of the zipper to be exactly equal with the opening means it's too short, as shown in the photo.

Oops, stitched too close to the teeth. The zipper just barely slides over those stitches.

This pouch is made out a piece of applique probably made 2009.

The opposite problem: stitching the very edge zipper makes it too prominent.

No doubt there will be additions to the series.
