Dichro Solids
Yeah, solid beads are hard, too.
This index collects the pages concerning solid dichro beads.
dichro solids, still on 1/16'' mandrel, with the accompanying strip used to make the bead. No, I'm not sure what color that is. However, the bead was almost certainly made mid October, and it's almost certainly cased with vetrofond clear.

Dichro solid redux, posted 31mar06; indexed05may06. Cf to the tutorial. N.b. Warm the core slowly from the inside out (heat the whole thing, not just the surface) till medium orange, and if heated in this whole-bead manner, dichro won't burn. And at last the bubbles will go away, given cold enough casing (e.g. match glass temps.)
